Join us to find out more about the stadium cluster-fiasco, and what you can do to stop it.

The Liberals’ Macquarie Point Stadium is going to cost Tasmanians well over a billion dollars that could otherwise be invested in affordable housing, a health system that works and better schools for our kids.

It’s fully cooked, but half-baked. The stadium will be an eyesore amongst Hobart’s heritage landscape, gridlock our already struggling transport system and won’t even be fit for a cricket match. The list of issues goes on.

Despite this, the Liberals are seeking to bypass the independent PoSS planning process and ram the stadium through Parliament with special legislation.

The Rockliff Government are trying to cut out the community to get this dud stadium built, but it’s far from a done deal. Now is the time for the community to stand up against the Premier’s vanity project.

Hear from Vanessa Bleyer, the Greens candidate for Braddon, Peter Whish-Wilson, the Senator for Tasmania and Basil O'Halloran, a local community campaigner, about how we can stop the stadium and invest in the things our community needs.
