At this fundraiser for the Clark Greens, join our genial host Mark Nicholson to sample whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, USA, Japan, and Tasmania

Saturday July 24th,  6-10 pm

Venue: the Old Hutchins Building, 181 Macquarie Street

Cost: $50 (concession $30). No door sales.

A special event held by Clark Greens

Mark Nicholson has been closely involved with the Tasmanian whisky industry for some 20 years and currently teaches the Distilling School at Old Kempton Distillery. Mark has pioneered the whisky tourism industry in Tasmania from its inception with Lark Distillery and the creation of the Tasmanian Whisky Trail. Mark has also led numerous international whisky tours to Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan and New Zealand.

Mark’s whisky tasting events are both entertaining and educational as he relates many stories from his travels and the rich history of whisky production throughout the world over 600 years.

At the forthcoming tasting event, Mark will introduce whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, USA, Japan and Tasmania and will relate stories from his travels to the distilleries of these countries and share the fascinating folklore of whisky production.

So, if you can’t tell a single malt from a straight bourbon or a pot still malt from a Coffey grain then come along and raise a few very special glasses of international whiskies which you can then compare to the beguiling Tasmanian malt on offer.
