Your Community, Your Voice: Greens for Council
Local government is where many of the decisions that shape our everyday lives are made. From community spaces and the environment to planning and local services, Councils offer an opportunity to help create positive change right where we live.
With the South Australian Local Council elections approaching, we're getting together to explore how we can bring more progressive voices into local government, and encourage Greens members to consider putting their hands up as candidates.
Join us for an informal, friendly afternoon at a member's home in Eden Hills. Share experiences and ideas, and discuss the practicalities of nominating, choosing a ward and developing campaign tactics with fellow members.
You don't need to have all the answers or have made a final decision about running. Whether you're seriously considering a nomination or simply curious about what's involved, this is a chance to ask questions, connect with others and explore the possibilities.
Members considering standing for the City of Mitcham are particularly welcome, as are those interested in other South Australian Councils.
When: Thursday 5 November, 7pm–8.30pm
Where: Eden Hills, City of Mitcham
Address: Provided to registered attendees.
Come along, share your ideas and discover how you could help shape the future of your local community!
