With the planned rushed construction of data centres, the community needs to be aware of the impact of not only data centres being built in their suburbs but also how AI will be used by military forces.

Rockdale and Kogarah constituents were never consulted about the proposed data centre to be built on Cooks River. There is a reason for that.

Premier Chris Minns has already struck a deal with Stocklands to develop this data centre, to be able to grab as many AI and tech investments as possible. There are additional risks that such data centres would also be used by military to increase surveillance on local citizens and protesters in the midst of war.

Spokesperson for AI and Data centres, Senator David Shoebridge will be joining us at 10am at Arncliffe Club to discuss the impact of both this proposed data centre on our community as well as the excessive military surveillance creeping up on us as a community.

This event is fully wheelchair accessible - there are no stairs and wide doors.

Please contact the event organiser with any accessibility requests as early as possible so that suitable arrangements can be discussed and organised where possible.

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to contact the event organiser directly to let them know there will be someone under 18 attending.
