Doorknocking is one of the most effective campaigning tactics we have at our disposal as it gives us the opportunity to talk to the community face to face, allowing us to have more persuasive conversations. So it’s very important that we get out there and talk to as many community members as possible.
We will meet at Gough Whitlam Park, Bayview Avenue Earlwood near the Basketball Court. It is a short walk from Tempe Station.
If you have not doorknocked before that is okay! We will run a brief training at the start and we will make sure you are paired up with someone who is experienced so you can learn from them. Everyone will be paired up so you don’t have to worry about doing it alone.
Please bring something for sun safety and wet weather.
We will have a debrief and food/drinks afterwards at the Concordia Club.
This event is not fully wheelchair accessible. The terrain is very steep, with a number of footpaths not compliant with accessibility standards, and entry ways to houses we door knock often will not be wheelchair accessible.
Please contact the event organiser with any accessibility requests as early as possible so that suitable arrangements can be discussed and organised where possible.
If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to contact the event organiser directly to let them know there will be someone under 18 attending.
