Join the Central Coast Greens for our monthly bushwalking club event in July - enjoy an active morning out in nature and get to know your comrades!
Come and explore the beautiful bush of Strickland State Forest, one of the gems of the Central Coast. We will meet at Stoney Creek carpark at 9:30am, where there will be two options for walkers:
-
Easy - 2-3km Arboretum loop (flat)
-
Moderate - ~6km loop to Strickland Falls (some steep sections)
After the walk, we will head up to Banksia picnic area for some morning tea / lunch. Please bring your own food (there is no cafe on site), plus a water bottle and hat. Strickland SF can be wet and muddy and there may be leeches.
This is one of the few dog-friendly bushwalking areas on the Central Coast. Feel free to bring your four-legged friend if they will be okay walking in a crowd of people and around other dogs. Dogs should be kept on leash at all times and owners must pick up after their dog (there are bins at both car parks).
This event is not fully wheelchair accessible. This walk follows unsealed trail that includes narrow and uneven sections unsuitable for a wheelchair.
Please contact the event organiser with any accessibility requests as early as possible so that suitable arrangements can be discussed and organised where possible.
If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to contact the event organiser directly to let them know there will be someone under 18 attending.
