Have you heard of the 25% gas tax? Do you want to build support for a tax that could bring in 3x the revenue and direct that money to the communities on the frontline of climate disruption?
The not-yet-successful campaign for a 25% gas tax has taught us two things. 1) We don't yet have the power we need to force Albanese to tax our exports fairly and 2) The solutions that get traction are big, structural and grounded in fairness.
The Communities for Climate Compensation network is a nationwide grassroots campaign focused on building power in local communities. The campaign is developing a national network of local teams growing community support for polluters to pay their fair share. The call is for a Climate Compensation Fund, funded by a Climate Pollution Levy on coal, oil and gas exports.
We're starting to build support with the two groups that have the biggest vested interest in our solution: the local councils and local communities that are currently footing the bill for climate disruption.
Join this special webinar with Millie Anthony to find out how you can be part of this national network to get polluters to pay their fair share.
