Belco Politics in the Pub - Tax the 1%

Matt Grudnoff is a senior economist at the Australia Institute. Matt has published widely on taxation & tax concessions, the federal Budget, poverty, inequality and housing affordability.

Matt will talk about out how and why Australia should tax the 1% and how a wealth tax could help. We're facing increasing pressure from the fuel and cost of living crises and growing inequality. We're also facing higher costs and needs for government services - something's gotta give. With more popular support for tax reform than ever before, come along and hear how it could work.
