You’re warmly invited to a meeting on Wednesday 10 September 2025 at 5.30pm online to talk through the recent expulsion of Drew Hutton and provide clarity for members.
The appeal was heard at a State Council meeting held in camera, with speaking time and process agreed beforehand. The member involved was given the opportunity to put forward their case and respond to questions, before delegates voted 75/23 to uphold the expulsion.
We know there has been a lot of information circulating in the media that doesn’t fully reflect what actually happened or the process followed. At this meeting, we’ll walk through the key steps taken, why confidentiality was required, and the broader timeline that led to this point.
This will be a space for members to hear accurate information, ask questions, and better understand the process.
